This work is a days work. It is a felt circle measured by eye. The disc gauges an un-interrupted thought and a meditation on loss that carried me through the day. By removing swamp and water plants I marked absence in the landscape that reflects the sun, the moon, the clouds and the sky.
This work was commissioned by Lay of the Land for Tombolo 19, a site-responsive residency in West Cork, Ireland funded by the Irish Arts Council.
