The Observer

Patinated bronze cast
120 x 65 x 45 cm
The Observer has been realized during my Foundry Fellowship at Chelsea College of Arts in 2016/17. The Observer is a roughly modelled head, an old guy, that lays looking into the sky with the eyes wide open, a grin on his face. Written along the base, mainly hidden under gravel, is the word written ‘SKY’ in which the head’s gaze is directed. The Observer aims to read through the fog and mist of the seeking news in the sky, may they be good or bad.
