The Space In-between, 2021

Smooth clay enveloped “it” and moulded the texture into a counter-relief that now lies like a wrinkly, leathery face in the hand: junctions and turns and twists, a composition of knots and lines. “It” had been corralled in strands of found and discarded thread from around the world, joined together to create a “full length”. The thread connects places and times, in the same way it holds “it” together if “it” is broken, so as not to lose its parts.
